A new start - MOMOIRO - UNO

At first i wanted to post the designs i mentioned in my last posts... but because i finally got a sewing machine, even if it an ancient one, i managed to make my first outfits using the machine, and that is why i'll make with this post a new start. That means that i'll give you all my professional made clothes, even if they are not done by a professional. And i have to apologies i made no posts in the last 2 moths

2M2WBDTA I AM! Outfit nr. 3 Promo Pic

As further updates, i'm still trying to take some nice pictures of the finished designs so that i can post them here, but i need to think a little bit more than usual XD. On the right you will see now a media player. Those are my songs, all my 7 songs i did till now, i'll try my best to make an album, and that means i'll have to make like 7 more songs ^_^ hope you'll like them.

2M2WBDTA I AM! New Promo PIC - design

Hello there! I'm back with a little update. I'm still working on my winter collection, right now i have 2 outfits, one that i must finalize, one is done, and right now i have an idea of another one in my head, i just need to think a little more on how to build it up.
This post is made to show off my new Design promotional picture i just finished working it in Photoshop. It was a picture inspired by a member of flickr that also is in fashion design, but for smaller dolls. I saw his promo pic and decided i should do something similar .. but with some of more ME into it... so i kinda combined photo manipulation and painting, and created my new way of  Promo pics ^_^. Hope you'll love the picture as much as I do. Kisses and stay tuned !!!

2M3WDTA I AM! Promotional Pictures

I guess you kinda figure out what i want to do ... if not i'll tell ya: I will do a Autumn / Winter 2010 / 2011 Collection of 10 outfits for Antoinette. The name of this Collection will be: 2M2WBDTA I AM! that means: Mirror Mirror on the Wall, Who's the Best Dressed of Them All.
In the last post i showed you 3 pictures .. from which only one in a Promotional picture for the Collection:

And now is time for some more Promotional Pictures ^_^ and you can see a little hint of the next outfit. Is not yet finished that is why I won't post the design. YET

Design nr 9 + A BIG PREVIEW

First, Design nr.9 is almost done. I need to figure out what system i'll use to keep the coat closed.Lower you will see some pictures on how the design looks.
Second, Design nr.9 is the beginning of a project i want to do, and hopefully i'll stick to it. That project i mentioned in one of my other posts and it will be a training process for me, and hopefully it will end up looking great ^_^.
Third, I have the idea, I have a theme in my head, I might not stick to it, but it sounded fun. yet i need to think about a name .. of the project... any idea ?! and yeah it will be a autumn/winter-2010/2011 collection with 20 designs or at least 10.

Design nr. 9

Design nr 9 - Update

Hello to you all! I'm back with a small update on the 9th outfit for Antoinette. I managed to sew some more today, especially the back [you will see that the jacket fits much more better now then yesterday]. I'm still in doubts on what i'll do in the front .. and at the base of the neck [front and back] and the reason is that I didn't followed a pattern and i build this up on the doll. The red ribbon will disappear in the future [ i'm using it now just to show you the jacket] and it will be replaced with a black ribbon belt [XD]. Anyway i know i'm not a good English speaker but i'm trying my best to be understood ^_^  so... here you have 2 more pictures of the outfit ^_^

Design nr 9 - preview

Sometimes I look at some dolls pictures over the internet and i get amassed by the creativity that lies in the dolls and in their outfits! Some of the designers, and the ones that work at building the doll fashions, are like ultra skilled, not to mention some artists (designers) that i saw over the internet. I must say that i'm like WOW wile i glance at their art! I do wonder.. how are they doing it?! how can they build such beauties and I can't?!!?!?! I know that i'm an unskilled person that is trying to become something like Huckleberry Jackson (love his designs) yet i'm doing my best to become creative in this DOLL DESIGN business.

So the reason for this post is that I want to make a 2010 Fall - Winter - Antoinette Collection; but i'm not decided in how it will look... I wonder why .... OH! I know... because I'M NOT SKILLED.. still I have something that is WORK IN PROGRESS: DESIGN NR 9:

Hello dear readers ... after a long long long break, i come to you with 2 new designs for Antoinette. The first design "Design nr 7" (black & red) was done somewhere in the middle of the month of April, and the second one was done at the beginning of May. Both went through the photo-shooting in the same day, reason why i decided to post them both in one post. Here you have some pictures of the 2 designs:

And here comes Design nr. 6 - Sexy Business. Done in one day is a 80% design , with some mistakes. The skirt was supposed to be a little taller at the waist, and, for the doll, this skirt is really impractical [really really tight]. But I hope you like this and more will come. I just brought another piece of material and I already have an idea of a dress. and Here you have as always the finished outfit.

Design nr. 5 - Ahoy Sailor!

Design nr. 5 - Ahoy Sailor! - for Antoinette

Here we have Design nr. 5 - for Antoinette! A simple design, yet somehow elegant and casual in the same time. This is a one piece Design, that means that the top is sewed with the bottom. The dress is 80% perfect, or 50% yet i made some mistakes wile i was building up the dress and because of that mistake i might need to remake the outfit!
Enjoy the doll dressed with this design!

EDIT: Yesterday I said that i might remake the dress... today i'm saying that I don't need to rework it! I managed to fix the back of the dress [the part that was not allowing the dress to come off] with cutting and sewing some elements. Now the dress comes off and on, a little hard is true, but it dose.

Antoinette - Cameo - Finally Home

Yesterday was the day I came home with sweet Antoinette Cameo! Really pale skin with a light blond hair, gray blue eyes and eyeshadow and a little touch of pink in her cheeks; you already knew that, but i had to tell you that she is amazing. In the near Future i hope i'll manage to get the other 2 Antoinette. First i really have to get Antoinette Bloom [she is my favorite, yet i wasn't lucky] and then Antoinette Spice! Wish me luck in getting them ^_^...

Tonight I'll think about another design for Antoinette and i hope that tomorrow I'll manage to start working on the design

I DID IT!!! after a full day of work I created Design nr 4. Perfect fit! Yet my vote is somewhere 85% Perfect and this is because everything is All is Hand sewed!!! And I have nothing left to say, so i'm letting you enjoy the pictures ^_^

Design nr. 4 - Work In Progress

Design nr. 4 - Work In Progress - for Antoinette

Cute Design no?! Something that probably was done before by many designers, used as a gorgeous red carpet dress by a famous star, even you [if you are girl] wore something quite similar, maybe even a doll got dressed in something like this!!!

I know is not an original design, but i started thinking today as I was looking at some other doll's fashion designers and how their creations was screaming : FASHION! GLAMOROUS! WOW! and decided that [even if i'm not prepared] I should start making those kind of wonderful fashion design, designs that are meant for dolls! So I took my pen and paper, and started drawing thinking at: the black material that i brought a few days ago, about the sewing staple [ i think this is how they are called]and some other elements that i don't have yet [tomorrow will be a wonderful day for some shopping] and managed to make this simple design yet Fashionable. As my mind had processed the pattern and how things will be sewed together, everything sounds pretty easy [if you have a sewing machine] yet hard [if you doing the hand sewing].

This is the first design I post on it's own without the final result [the doll dressed] and if this will be a success i'll do more post like this one: first the design, then the dressed doll.

Design nr. 3 - It Wasn't Meant To Be

DESIGN NR. 3 - "It Wasn't Meant To Be" - for Antoinette

The title says it all! Design nr 3 " It Wasn't Meant To Be", it wasn't meant to be a design. It just happened! Actually I wanted to remake an outfit I did for Barbie:

And i did it. Using baby pink elastic cotton [don't know if it has a special name] I created, hand sewing directly on the doll, a body suit for Antoinette. Here you have 2 more extra shots of the Design nr. 3

And Here you have 2 extra shots i took today using a little stupid 7.1 megapixel digital camera [ Olympus FE-210] that somehow turned out to be really good ^_^

Design nr.2 - Maybe "The Night Grown"

Design Nr. 2 - for Antoinette

Finally managed to finish my second design than i think it can be called: "The Night Grown". It took me more than I wanted! Summed we have 6 hours for measurements, pattern making, and cutting the material [ the material is an really old one, found it in my house hidden in a box], 12 hours more or less for the hand sewing.

This design is an 60% fail or 50%; maybe because is not finished, i still need to sew the back of the "dress" to give it shape... and a front bow is missing [don't think i'll add it .. it will look odd], but i must say that i'm proud of myself because i managed to make a pattern only from measurements! Here are some unprofessional pictures taken of Antoinette wearing the "dress"... a thing to remember: Everything was hand sewed!!!!

Further news! Antoinette Cameo [the blond doll] is waiting for me! Why is she waiting you might ask... Here is the answer: I sold 2 of my photos in exchange for Antoinette cameo. That means:
